It’s comforting to know that the pediatrician’s splinter-removing-tool of choice is still a good old fashion safety pin. 😉
And you can tell Jake that he was lucky with his splinter….I got one in the side of my foot a few weeks ago that was almost one inch long and about a millimeter in diameter at the thickest point.
Safety pin and tweezers – some of the best medical instruments around! Notice also the wardrobe change – this foreign body took 2 visits to remove due to the uncooperative patient.
Ouch, Kristian, that hurts just thinking about it.
I love Jake’s expressions! I am sure he WAS an uncooperative patient. Splinter patients always are…… I remember many a splinter in his daddy. Whoever took the pictures captured the event very well. I just love his big upside down smile…..
I was the photographer, mom. Being behind the camera seemed the easier place than behind the needle. Plus, Jennifer has a bit more medical training than me. 🙂
