Sense of Style
I find this age very interesting. Joseph is ten, almost eleven, and I’m often reminded of how he is straddling childhood and adolescence. Most recently I was struck by this fact when he, for the first time in his life, wanted to go shopping for clothes. He had a specific idea in mind for his style and I was more than happy to comply with his current trend. Mainly because he had previously been perfectly content with wearing pants that were a little too short and shirts that were a little too tight and due to his rapid growth, that’s about all he had in his closet for summer. Jacob was not at all interested in the excursion despite being dragged along and ended up with gym shorts and pajamas. Joseph came away sporting fine new duds and was even willing to pose for me to capture them on film.
Of note, he also takes a shower every day without too much prompting. My handsome boy is growing up.
