Sugar Daddy

Ok, so I had some left over Trail Mix and Twizzlers, some of my favorite snacks.  I figured this would be a good thing to give out at Halloween.  I would get rid of it, and the sugar filled kids would get something remotely non-horrible for them – win, win.  So you would think….

Joseph claimed that to give this out to the children of our neighborhood would be lame, an embarrassment, and a poor reflection on our family.  His father apparently agreed.  He came home last night with enough chocolate candy to literally fill a trash bag.

He was a hero, and I feel confident we will have left over chocolate to tempt us for weeks, not to mention the poor sure-to-be-untouched Trail Mix stash.  Oh well, at least no one will egg our house :).

  1. […] just in case you were wondering, our trash bag of chocolate is still 1/2 full. […]

  2. I think that the trail mix and twizzlers is a pretty good treat! Sounds good to me. But then again, I guess I have poor taste…when Lacey and I first moved into our house our neighbors told us that we definatly would not get trick-or-treaters, so we didn’t buy and candy to give out. Much to my surprise that year we had one show up. I didn’t want to leave the kid empty handed so I went into our pantry and gave him a can of tuna. He seemed really surprised. Hey I would have been happy too! That was the first and only trick-or-treater we have had in 4 yrs.

  3. HA ha too funny! At least you tried to be the healthy one!
